Thanks to the support of DIEHL+RITTER/TANZPAKT RECONNECT, as part of the NEUSTART KULTUR initiative of the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media, ID_Frankfurt e.V. launches the Tanzhaus Frankfurt Rhein-Main. Docked in the Z -Zentrum für Proben und Forschung (Z Center for Rehearsals and Research), it creates a Haus with reliable (infra-) structures. In spite of not having its own performance spaces, with strategic public relations, online presence, and a dance calendar, it strives to increase the visibility of local dance makers. Through professional development and consultations, the Tanzhaus shall provide opportunities to further personal and collective progress. Some examples include supported artistic creation (e.g. residencies) and facilitated gatherings (digital and analog) for artists and lovers of dance. An archive on the website will also ensure that existing works remain present and mark the beginning of a comprehensive archive of the independent dance scene in Frankfurt. The Zukunftslabor (Lab for the Future) is intended to make space for ID_Frankfurt members to vision the further development of Tanzhaus Frankfurt Rhein-Main. In addition to activities such as residencies, workshops and exchange meetings, the Tanzhaus will initiate meetings between players in the cultural sector and political representatives to reflect together on current issues and the interrelatedness of the performing arts and society.
